I remember once an old man told me that when he was a boy he thought he would play a trick on a man delivering paraffin. 'Hey Mister he shouted your paraffin tap is running. The oil man climbed down from is seat and went round the wagon. Of course the tap was secure. 'He looked at me,' The oil man said. 'Is that what they teach you at school?

The old man said 'I never felt so ashamed in my life.'

Yes, absolutely! I think about these things as well. Consideration for the next person is severely underrated. It only takes a second to be considerate. Happy New Year!

Good Afternoon

Ciel,  I loved this post.  Thanks for sharing it.  I always try to be considerate. I hope you are staying warm.  It's so cold here, but on a good note, I must mention that the sun has come out.  I think that's a good sign.  Happy New Year to you and Charlie!  I hope your bird is staying warm.

It’s true, people seem less considerate. Parents need to teach consideration to their children. Still, we have experienced a few considerate people lately and it renews my faith in humanity.

You make good points! I do try to be considerate but this coming year I'm going to go.out of my way to be considerate to others. There is one consideration I try to do daily is to let someone in glfront of me while driving so they don't have to wait forever and not make a light. My son-in-law did that when we were leaving a parking garage after a baseball game in Detroit. He had to work to get the driver's attention  because it seemed he was resigned to wait due to out of country plates. When he realized he was getting out he turned and said to my son-in-law law, "Best friends for life!" That's a perk from being considerate, a nice life long memory as you experienced! Wonderful post!
