Good Afternoon

I'm so happy that you are on the mend!  Happy New Year!  It's very cold here, but the sun is starting to shine, and I hope that's a good sign that it's going to start warming up.  We are in the single digits, and we are covered in snow.  It does look like a winter wonderland, which is beautiful, but nobody wants to venture outside.  It's much too cold.  Our dog, Sadie, does not want to go outside because of the freezing temperatures and prefers to stay inside with her Christmas toys that Santa brought her.  I hope you have a wonderful day.

Outstanding, vivid imagery. Simple and complex thoughts are intertwined. Praise, pain, lauding, pleading, receiving, giving, even acquiesce in recognition of a higher power. The use of mother privides for the premise of greatness and sacrifice equally with the writer's concept of the ordeal that was undertaken and the arrived conclusion of the poem. I was genuinely in awe of the entire poem. I think it warrants more reads because I suspect there are more hidden innuendos with more meaning than I encountered on the initial read. Kudos!!!

Great back before one ever thought.

And a good write. I do hope you will mend quickly.

We all have views of our existence of this planet.

I must say yours is of the comforting kind . Thankyou .

This is a beautiful and moving post—both as a health update and as a poem of reflection. I’m so glad to hear the surgery went well and that you’re on the road to recovery; your gratitude toward your doctor and your friends comes through very clearly. The poem itself feels deeply contemplative, especially the way you weave images of giving in nature—mothers, clouds, light, the earth—against humanity’s struggle with self-interest. Lines like “Mother Nature gives and gives and gives, asks nothing in return” linger powerfully and invite honest self-examination. Thank you for sharing something so thoughtful and generous in spirit. Wishing you continued healing, peace, and a truly happy New Year.
