ChiffChaff.....
.....Oh no. I seem to fall regularly now, but I never think of men doing it. fortunately for me, I have fallen when a son or two are visiting and they get me right up. One time I was walking across the floor with a cup of hot coffee in my hand and lost my balance and just fell upside down into a soft easy chair. I got out ok but the hot coffee was emptied into the seat of the chair. The balance just isn't as good as it used to be.

Re: Pat
Pat you must have seen mince pies , they are like jam tarts only filled with mince . I expect you call them something else as it is not minced meat ,but a sweet of raisins and currents etc. Some one must have been drunk when they were named🌺.

Re: Sherri
I do have an extra thick coat which is a sort of cushion. Someone should invent a block of polystyrene that one could walk around in and laugh after falling over.🤭

Oh, dear! That's terrible to hear. I do hope you are alright. DO be careful. It's so difficult to watch everything when one is out.

Oh my! So sorry that happened. I try to keep things out of my path to avoid falling. I did fall a few years ago that made me more cognizant as well. I had left a blanket I was going to wash after the current load was done. It was on a wood floor, I stepped on it and my feet went out from under me and I tried to brace myself and ended up with a displaced fracture to my humerus. Surgery followed plus a year of rehabilitation before I gained complete use again. I know I don't need to tell you to be careful as I know you know! But, he careful! We need you around here! My blessings yo you! Inconsiderate you a very dear friend!!! 🙂

Good Evening
I'm so sorry you fell and bruised your finger. Hopefully, all will be better after a good night's sleep. Our temperatures are in the single digits, and the wind is whipping around outside.

Oopsy. I am accident prone, so I understand mishaps such as this. It is a shame that your mince pie took a beating. It would have paired well with a cup of tea. Be safe. Those falls can really bite hard.

I'd never heard of anyone falling into a mince pie. I may never have actually seen a mince pie, but Mama used to talk about them. Your post made me think of the nursery rhyme
about "four and twenty blackbirds baked in a pie, when the pie was opened the birds began to sing. Wasn't that a dainty dish to set before a king." I hope you didn't bruise anything, that the pie washed out of your pants and the day brings only good things now.
