This brought tears to my eyes. This is such an interesting read.  love it. Such painfully difficult times. Any little good thing was a true blessing, as now.

Childbirth in those days was not an easy task. Medicine has come a long way. We are so blessed to be living in society today. I love the way you take us back to the struggles people faced just to live day to day.

Dying during childbirth was common back in the day. I am glad that modern medicine has taken care of that.

I have caught up reading back through three entries. I am loving this story. There was always sadness back then, Most of my ancestors had at least two wives, Pioneer life was much harder on women than men it seems. Childbearing was always difficult for so many pioneer women.
