There are people starving everywhere. It isn't possible to help them all, but we can help the ones we know about. There is no good reason why anyone should have to go without, but it happens and it is so sad. God bless the people who care enough to make a difference.

My family waits for the special treats at Christmas. They like cake, pies, and cookies, but it's the only time of year that we go all out with the festive treats.

I keep reading about things that are good for one . I just go by my waist I have a lot of 32" trousers. Now I have to breath in to to be accommodated. Reminds me I will have to check the scales in a months time. 🌺

With me, I think it is the availability of good Christmas candy and cookies everywhere. A couple of weeks from now I can get my New Years Resolutions going.

The easier available of food (and unhealthy food at that) has led to many a weight gain in our society. I am one of them.

We have certain charities we support and the rest that comes in the mail, we delete. As for a few treats at Christmas, well that is about all the festivity we will be getting with Jim unwell so they will certainly be around.

It's probably better to send money. I agree. I am thankful there's a way to keep foods since the majority of my diet is produce and fruit. I would not want to be a gatherer on a daily basis. Modern times have spoiled me.

It seems there are starving people right here in our neck of the woods, and our donations to local charities and food banks are badly needed. I will not say a word about indulging in sweets this holiday season - we are only human.
