I didn’t know any of this about Tennessee! What an interesting time and so scary for the boys’ mother - and everyone else! So glad they made it. I can see from reading this that the love of singing goes way back in your family. How wonderful!

Thankfully they all made it through the war. I remember when my son went to Afghanistan, I could truly feel their mother's pain. It is beyond agonizing when a son is at war let alone 4.

This is so interesting...what real people once did!
Of all the wars that are fought ...we humans can't ever seem to just get along with our neighbours... i believe a civil war has to be the most painful difficult war to live through.
