At least you are still trying.  At age 88 and no longer driving, I have given up the post office runs, and even shopping.   I shop by computer and ship and when they get it no pretty wrapping.   I just don't have what it takes anymore.

The one place that needs automatic doors is the post office! Why can’t anyone realize that? Hope you have a relaxing weekend and I’m glad the card arrived.

Good Evening

Sam444, your post made me smile this evening.  I have days like this all the time. I'm so glad your grandson got his card.  I know you were happy when you got the text from your son.  I'm sure it was priceless to see the video of your grandson reading his card.  I hope you have a great weekend.  I think our weather bureau is trying to scare us because they keep telling us how bad our weather will be this weekend.  We've got snow coming, possibly anywhere from 3 to 6 inches or more, and the temperatures may be below zero. I hope your Team wins.  It will be an exciting game for you.  Go Dawgs!

I used to send parcels to Australia but it costs at least 100 dollars to do that now plus the cost of the present. I make phone calls instead. I can ring son no one for nothing on my phone. He is the only one but then he can pass on messages.
