Good Evening

I feel so bad about this turn of events.  I'm sure it was a very hard adjustment to see her children growing up and leaving home.

How fascinating. Some of the moves were quite bold for the time. The poor mom nearly abandoned.

This is a significant and yet overlooked picture of what every family faces. There are no guarantees that your family will always stay close. Or that they will even keep in contact at all. Yet in those days. Most families probably never ventured far from their families. It also opens your eyes to the difference between the lives of men and women. Women, in many ways, made the greater sacrifice. Not to mention birthing 7 children. My maternal grandmother had 7 children. So, to travel far away from your home would require strong motivation, bravery, energy, and strong faith.

It is something how some people moved far away to start a new life. I don't believe I would have been able to do that back then. Even now, moving out of my county seems like a major stretch.
