Re:

Kabu, it's been a long time since I've had a real tree.  I do love the fragrance that comes from having a real tree.

No real tree for me, not for many years.

Re:

Sam444, it's been a long time since I've had a real tree.  The thought of bugs and spiders would be too much for me now.  I love my artificial tree.  We are staying warm.  When I watch TV, I always cover up with a warm blanket.  I love it.  I hope you have a good night!

I haven't had a real tree in years. I think the risk of has subsided with the LED lights. The bugs and spiders in trees gave me the creeps! LOL Stay warm and cozy and open that book! Lol

Re:

Sherri, it is so cold, I really wish it would warm up!  I hope you have a good day.

Whoa, that is some cold weather you got there.

I have tried talking to Mother nature about these freezing temperatures, but she is not listening. Years ago, when the girls were younger, we chopped down our own tree, but these days we are alright having a fake one. Stay warm, shop for your fur babies, and enjoy your day indoors. Regular smile

Re:

BearcatMike, I've had real trees too and never saw spiders or bugs, but they may have been there.  This is one of the coldest times we've had in a long time.  When I was little, we had some very cold winters, and we made the best igloos and snowmen.

Re:

Pat, I like the artificial trees that are pre-lit too.  They are so easy to put up.

Stay warm and toasty. I remember when I was a boy living in Springfield, Ohio. We moved from the warm temps of Mobile, Alabama. Our fascination with seeing the temperature drop below 0 °C into the negative temperatures. We had never seen temperatures so low. And below-zero temperatures were normal during the winter. Sometimes I think they provide us with information to scare us. I have had several live trees in the past. Never saw any spiders or bugs.

I've never seen a spider or any other bug on a real Christmas tree - not even when I went out into the nearby forest and cut one. Doesn't mean they weren't there. Just wasn't looking for them. On the other hand, I like small artificial trees that are pre-wired with lights and can be stored in the basement for use a second time. Have a cozy day.
