We had deer guests last evening after dark. They come down from the tree covered ridge in late evening. They love our grounds because there is a man paid by the caretakers to put out food for the squirrels, birds and deer and I guess anything else that comes in the night watch. With the snow yesterday I could see exactly where they had been.

I can relate to your feelings regarding loved ones who have passed on. I wish they could always be with us. We finally got our share of the white, fluffy stuff this morning. It is beautiful. ❄️ We also had a visit from Rudolp's cousin last night. We had a 4-point buck in the yard, enjoying the treats I put out for them. 🦌

I understand how you are feeling. I, too, have longed for pne holiday sharing with folks who have been gone a long time. Memories are the next best thing. Thankfully I have many fond ones.
