My family hardly know me these days. I travelled many times in my life, and also lived in Sydney away from people but I have no regrets. I did life my way and really I believe followed the path God has been guiding me along.

It is a real shame that the mind slows down with age. My guess is that the brain gets tired after so many years of storing and processing daily activities. It's wonderful that you can rib her about her repeated stories. Your family is blessed to have such a gem.

At least you still have your Mother. It is great to know she is cared for. I am afraid that

I have a job to remember the contents of a members blog, It is short memory syndrome.

Although I understand the content as I read.🦋

You are right. So many people do not live in the moment, and/or they wait for things to happen.

Good Afternoon

BearcatMike, your Mom sounds delightful.  I'm so glad you got to visit her.  I think your family sounds awesome.  I hope you have a wonderful day.  We've got a winter wonderland here, and I'm enjoying every minute of it.  I'm in the house looking out at all the freshly fallen snow.  We've got more snow on the way.

I often wonder where the time went. It seems like yesterday I was a working mom with kids underfoot, - and it's been 50 years ago or more. Some of them are grandparents now.  😄
