BearcatMike, thank you for the Birthday wishes for my granddaughter. I love snow, and I'm glad to read that you like snow too. I think freshly fallen snow is beautiful. I hope you have a good night. Stay warm!

Happy Birthday to your granddaughter. I enjoy the snow myself. Enjoy the winter weather, stay warm. There is a rumor we may get some snow this winter, too.

Re:
Sam444, we do get lake effect snow. My neighbor has a couple of snowmobiles, and when we get a lot of snow, he brings them out. They have so much fun on them. We have a big hill not too far from here, and the kids from all around the area go sledding there. When the school is canceled because of the snow, the kids go there. It's usually so cold that I'm not sure how they can take the freezing temperatures. I wish you could see the kids climbing the hill after sledding to the bottom. It's quite a walk, and they are pulling their sleds behind them. The kids are quite resilient.

Happy birthday to your granddaughter!
When my kids were growing up we lived in the country. The first snowfall, west side of Michigan and lake effect snow (I would think you get that in Cleveland) there would be enough for the neighboring kids to congregate at our house and head out on their snowmobiles. When they came back and cold I'd have fresh homemade hot chocolate simmering on the wood stove. Glorious memories you sparked in from your post! Thanks! I think you have a reasonable goal for your writing. I would miss you if you didn't post everyday!

Re:
Kabu, I love watching the snow through my dining room window. It's the best place in town. One of the best parts of all is that it's warm.

Not going outside myself, I enjoy the snow through my windows. One of the joys of being old.

Turkey sandwiches are one of my favorites. I like mine with pepper jack cheese, lettuce, tomato, and mayonnaise on a good deli roll. Oh, to be 20 again. I'd go back if I could take with me the things I have learned through the years. Happy birthday to her. Enjoy your day.
