- Go to Harlan's Daddy
Good Afternoon
Pat, I loved this memory! This was what I would call the rest of the story! I'm amazed at Harlan's Daddy and what he did.

Re: Ciel
There was no color tv. This was 1952. In fact, tv broadcast signals didn't even reach the foothills where we lived. Radio. That was where we got our news, serial programs, soap operas, music in those days.

I wonder if Harlan ever knew about his dad's awkward attempt to buy him a bride with a television... Was it even a color tv?

Harlan sounds like he was quite a catch. A great dancer with distinct looks, friendly, with a good sense of humor, and sharp as a tack...that's my kind of buddy.

I suppose, in a way, Harlan's dad did not have much of an Idea about women..
Well, some women. I thought he was going to offer his car and a house.
I know he would have had the same answer.🌹🌹
