Make sure that if you do a system restore that you choose a date after the latest updates have been installed; otherwise, you will also have to deal with the computer prompting you to download and install those updates again.

You could try a system restore.
Here's what I found on it.
To reset your laptop to a previous date, use System Restore, which reverts your system files and settings without affecting personal files like documents and pictures. You can access System Restore by searching for "create a restore point" in the Start menu, clicking "System Restore," and following the prompts to choose a restore point from the list.
