Good Afternoon

sam444, I'm hoping for the best possible solution, and everyone has a Merry Christmas.  Sometimes, families can have issues at Christmas.  I'm sending you many blessings for a wonderful holiday.

Some people delight in ruining traditions and being selfish and not considering other people's lives and feelings. One year My sister decided she and her kids were going to have a family christmas without me and mine or Mother and Dad. It was only a couple of years before Mum and Dad both died and I felt she could have waited!

Sorry to hear you all are going through that. Family members can be so rough on each other. I had an aunt who was pretty much that way. I would go years without seeing my cousins. Now that she is deceased, I do see them.

Sorry his has happened after all a couple of days. Sometimes motives are so hard to understand. I suppose we expect everyone to be rational. Take care and try not to worry.

You have a lot who love you.  🌺

Your village is spectacular! It so so intricate and so festive. I love the lights all over it. Congratulations on hosting Christmas Eve for over 40 years! We love tradition here and I'm sorry your brother has decided to not observe it this year. The only thing I can think of is to also celebrate on Christmas Day. Perhaps his family who choose to go there on Christmas Eve, if that happens, can come to your house on Christmas day. It's not the same but it's a thought. I had hosted every year until last year when Hubby was just out of the hospital. This year, we'll see.

Family can be complicated. Tradition can be so unifying. Christmas is the season for giving and coming together. Praying for peace for your family. Excellent Christmas display on Facebook.

Your photos of your Christmas village are lovely. My mother-in-law put one up every year before she passed away last November. I love all of the miniature details that go into them. ⛄
