Thank you for the kind words, Goldiec. The backyard squirrels have deserted the habitat since the walnuts were cleaned up a week or so ago - I see one of them (Itchy) dashing
across the yard on a scouting mission once in a while, but they seem to be staying close to the park by the lake these days.

Pat, it makes me sad to think that you are feeling depressed about what is going on with the powers that be. I wish we all lived closer. We could have a book club, and we would all meet every week. It would be perfect if you could lead our group. I have to say you are one of the most knowledgeable women I know, and I would look forward to learning from you. Your stories show a creative side that few people have. How are the backyard squirrels doing?

As you know, I am a big fan of your political opinion pieces. I am focused on your remark about him stepping out of office at some point. We who have witnessed all the atrocities of the Orange One's administration. Will forever be scarred by the assault on January 6, 2021. I pray that we never forget and vote to recover justice, sanity, morality, and intelligence in our Democracy.

he doesn't believe anyone should ever question what he does and when or how. he has no understanding of any one else's need or feelings. it seems to me the more poor people suffer and go hungry, the happier he is!

Unfortunately, we all have to deal with his political rhetoric and crazyman thinking for a few more years. I'm hoping the midterms cause him to simmer down, but he doesn't appear to have an off button.
