Really enjoyed this, CC—what a lively little scene you created out of a rainy morning! The fly, the cat, the chaos, and your dry humor all work together so well. I especially liked the way Parker steals the spotlight at the end. Thanks for the smile—be lucky indeed!

Flies are so disgusting. My grandma had a very definite opinion about flies. She always said, from the cow's ass to the picnic table.

I like cats and can admire them from a distance if that's their choice. I listen to their opinions - they're very astute when it comes to politics. Almost all of them prefer the govt to be hands-off and let the citizens live peacefully as they choose, working at jobs that satisfy more than the daily needs and allow time for a nap now and then.

Good Morning
We had a fly in the house for almost a week. We just couldn't get it to leave. We finally named it Charlie and figured it was here to stay, and then one day it disappeared. We wondered where he went, but we don't know. Maybe he went outside when the door was opened, but one thing is for sure: Charlie is gone. We were starting to think Charlie was part of the family. Sometimes you just have to accept what you can't change. Â
