Sea_Gypsy.....When we were children, me, Nila, Barbara, Ben we play the card game "Authors" and just loved it and also read the books/writings of those authors.    (of course TV was new and we didn't have one, so we were all avid readers.)

Sigh, then there was Little Mother Meg and Joe's Boys. I had the trilogy, and read them over and over again.
