- Go to Fear and Ignorance Have Resulted in History Getting Erased
I wonder if there would be sale for such books these days. I agree though it is always a shame to hide from the past.🌺

Sherri.....
......When I was young a book ban would have made me want to read the book even more to see why the banning.  You know "that curiosity thing."

I am totally against book burning or book censoring. Well, I wouldn't put pornographic picture magazines everywhere and around minors, but Libraries should be able to carry everything people want.Â

Good Evening
I knew school systems were banning books in some red states. This, however, is tragic. How many other freedoms will the powers that be remove from us, for our so-called good? It is not good for anyone. Thanks for your very important post.Â

Good Morning
I do not believe in History being erased. I think everyone should be able to read what they want to. In George Orwell's book "1984," the powers that be were destroying words, pages, and books. I was horrified when I was reading it. Â

I say leave it up to the individual to decide. I am a big fan of Toni Morrison and own most of her books. One day while shopping at Barnes and Noble I came upon a table that said banned books. Two of her books were on the table. I have not read one of her books that I wouldn't recommend. Just because some people can face the truth is not a reason for a book to be banned or history to be rewritten.Â
