.....Fifty years ago there were beavers in my neck of the woods, a beaver dam and many trees they had started chewing on that still stood. But that is all gone now. Only the water remains. I'm glad my sons got to experience that before they grew up and it was gone.

I think they were hunted once, mainly because they blocked waterways when building better habitat. 🌺
