Considering that Marie owns the bar, I would say she reserves the right to change the strict dating policy. For some people, age has no bearing in a relationship. I believe that too much of an age gap can be problematic, but that is up to the two people to decide what is best for them. Large generation gaps will mean they have very little in common.
