Re: Goldiec,

Thanks! I'm glad to share them, love to take them, too! Yes, I see your name go by on the Unique Trees pages from time to time.

Re: Sherri,

Ah, but that's what makes the others so delightful! I love the earliest days of winter and of summer, though perhaps I'd like the entire seasons to be shorter!

Re: Pat,

I delighted to catch this first snow of the season, but am equally glad to still have autumn down in the flatlands!

I think you're right, that humidity has that effect, warm or cold.

Re: TAPS,

We've had now a two or three nights in the 30s, and the great maple off the side of my deck has gone that fast from mostly green to totally yellow! The next big wind, I'll be able to see the Garden of the Gods again, through its bare branches.

Your post made me think of my son who lives in the mountains, off the grid! He couldn't to Boise last weekend because he had to finish getting firewood up for the winter!

Good Morning

I love the pictures you share!  I always look at the trees on Facebook!

The picture of the trees surrounding the rock formation and the lake is my favorite. You live in an area filled with gorgeous scenery. The trees in SW Pennsylvania have finally started turning color. In my perfect world, I'd be happy with spring and fall taking turns. Eliminate summer and winter altogether.

I'm just not ready for snow. Although in your beautiful country it adds a brightness to the dark days of winter. If memory serves it doesn't even feel all that cold there in God's country. Perhaps it's the humidity of the Midwest that lets the chill penetrate more sharply.

Our trees here in KC are just now beginning to turn.  We've had a really warm September and October but just the last two nights the temp has dropped enough to really begin the process.
