- Go to Bible Study Disparities Make for Strange Bedfellows...
FSI....Can you believe....
......that years ago when I was young (around 40) that for quite a while I led a Bible Study Group for Adults that didn't want to go roller skating with their youngsters but wanted/needed to wait for them. There were no snacks/no coffee, just men and women .... around twenty or so of them who came to it every time and seemed to love taking part in the discussions.

Re: Kabu....LOLOLOL
It does seem that people want to eat something everywhere they go.

I don't know, all it would take is to tell me it is my turn to bring coffee and cake, and I would be gone. That was why I stopped going to church. I just want to sit and commune with my God, not do chores. Didn't matter where I went, there were always flowers, food, and cleaning up for women to do!

I have never been in a Bible Study in my life. I ought to do one. It'd be interesting to see how it goes...It sounds like you have a nice crew there. I can see how appointments given the ages do affect the group with people missing.

Life is busy. It's hard to make standing appointments. All you can do is attend when you can. Coffee and treats would be an added incentive to make it to Bible study.

I think you covered all of the main reasons for the loss of attendees. I liked the part about what’s being served up with coffee. 😂
