- Go to My Crystal Ball Was Broken...
I remember that we were among the last in town to get a television. We watched at my auntie's house. I saw Hoppy there and the wrestling guys between eating pasta and playing dodgeball,. baseball or kickball in the street. It was great fun except when the dodgeball hit me in the stomach. Hahahah.
Happy Belated Birthday to you.

Hopalong Cassidy's friend was named Red Connors. Tonto was the companion of The Lone Ranger. I had to look up the Cassidy buddy, but I remembered Tonto. That western was one
I listened to on the radio - we didn't have TV then (late 1940's).

You must have enjoyed TV about the same time as Australia was able to get it. Yes, the suburbs' roofs became a sea of antennas.

I agree with Mike. You are an amazing storyteller. I remember those huge antennas propped up in the air and on roofs. 😃

You probably weren't the only one who thought that. I love the picture you paint of the antenna. The size of the picture screen. Those were the days when imagination was crystal clear. It is the reason that many people dislike movies because they don't match the book that birthed them. I think our imagination paints our own individual images. Nice segway.
