The tip was not 11.46. It was the total pay of tip and DD pay.

You obviously missed what I wrote about tipping. I completely agree that servers and delivery drivers should get a 20% to 25% tip. I just don't believe that everyone can afford to give big tips in today's economy, but sometimes the only way for some people to have a meal is to get it delivered. You referred to the customer who ordered Wendy's as cheap because they gave you a "whopping $11.46." That is where you lost me with your idea of how much a tip should be. My youngest daughter's husband does DoorDash. He turns down orders that are too far due to high gas prices and wear and tear on the vehicle.

tips need to be the top of the scale......
....for any service for pay. I really do think most people know that they are just cheapskates and want something for nothing.

You are absolutely right. People who have never had to live off of tips or have family or friends in the service industry don't understand. And as you say, they tend to tip at a low rate. Take care of yourself. Praying for your protection. It's the Father in me.
