I leave all the tipping to Jim. I know it is essential to tip, or people are practically working for nothing in this country compared to Australia, where tipping is built into their wages, and of course, the price of the meal.

I worked as a waitress and a delivery driver for several years. I understand tips and tipping. We give a 20% to 25% tip on food orders when the service was good. Everything is expensive, and many people are living paycheck to paycheck. Not everyone can afford to give a big tip, and if you come to depend on tips to survive, it would be a smart idea to get a better-paying job.

People who have never worked as servers tend to give smaller tips than those who did. If one is not earning a decent hourly wage, those tips make all the difference. I don't know how you do it.

Goodness, I am sure there is a better way to make a go of it. That twenty miles is a non starter. To go 20 miles in a taxi here as I did recently was £90 and I thought it was too cheap and gave the driver a good tip.🌺
