Re: Re: Ciel....
There were only the two girls at that time and their dad looked after the one at home, who also was in daycare or school.

Re: Ciel....
Sounds good to me. What did you do with the others while you were gone. I ask this because my four boys were very close in age.

I enjoyed going for picnics with my two little boys a lifetime ago now, but I still remember those precious times.

My best road trips were with one of the kids at a time! It was just them and me without competitions between them for my attention, and getting to know them as individuals. We did this when they were very young, like 5 yrs old.

Missouri is a beautiful state. We have driven through it a few times. Your dad was quite resourceful. I have never been around a hunter, but my hubby loves the serenity of the woods, and so do I.

My grandfather was a hunter. He would hunt raccoons. He would take my aunt on his excursions. They were great memories for her. He did not take my mother. There is an eight year age difference between my mother and aunt, and he was more of a loaner then.

Good dads are my heroes! And what a good teacher he was, too... letting you study the woods and nature and understand the patterns of life. Loved this post!

I love how certain things seem to trigger our memories. Sounds like you had a great dad. Many dads would not even attempt to take their daughters out fishing. Thanks for sharing.
