I understand. When I lost Judy, everybody knew it... and when I walked down the street, people would go across the street to avoid talking to me. When I later asked a man who was a friend, but had done that several times, he told me, "I didn't know what to say to you."
People don't know how to deal with grief, so they don't.

Your words take me back many years, to when my husband, the father of our children, told me he was completely, utterly, and madly in love... with another woman. Naturally, I left, and she hopped straight into my side of the bed. {Some people lack breeding.}What hurt the most was that we were very well known in our town, and people would see me and their eyes would be saying to me, Please make this easy for me.
