A lovely story. I expect strawberries in that time were as one would wish. 

You were the dancing girl< not much excitement around at that time.

I suppose you could have done worse, it would have been nice to have been offered a 

bit better perk. A new built house perchance. 🌺

One of my first male friends, though there was romance as well, died when we were in our mid-fifties. It seemed so sad to me.

You must have made quite the impression on the young man. Those are some sweet memories. You have the best childhood stories of anyone I have ever known. I hope you continue to write about them. Have you ever thought of looking Harlan up? People these days are easy to locate. Winking smile
