Re: Pat B,
Today's offering on Facebook's Unique Trees is a series of photos from our short road trip up the Ramparts Range Road. (Posting the flickr link up in my Adventuring blog here...)

Re: CCT,
You've reminded me of a story... A tour guide herded the bus passengers to a place a few yards from the rest area parking lot to see a collection of dinosaur tracks. As they returned to the bus, she asked one of them, "How did you like seeing the tracks?" The tourist replied, "Oh, it's just so fascinating! But what really amazes me is, you wouldn't think they'd come so close to the road!"

I have noticed the days getting shorter, but we have had low-lying clouds now for about a week, with storms at night, and nice rains.

I miss being in that part of the country with mountains nearby or on the horizon. And the evergreen forests, the glacier-fed streams, the footprints along the muddy bank. I miss being able to hike for hours at a time - or even half an hour on level sidewalks. Please keep writing about your surroundings so I can visit there in my imagination.

We are having heavy rain bursts . Something that we needed so desperately a month ago.
I wonder if folk will say in a hundred years time. Once one could see wild animals roaming here?🌺
