Pat.....
I love this post. All my life until they passed on, both my mom and dad carried on conversations with birds. I also had one sister really good at it. It was never my forte even though I loved birds and their singing. One of my favorite experiences was a week I spent in a mountain valley in Spain and the cuckoos would wake me early every morning.

Pat one of the horrible things I did and I don't know why. There was a rat hole in one of our old sheds. I would lean over it and make squeaking noises, well only about once or twice and the baby rats would poke their heads up out of the hole . It makes me shudder now but it was a different time. Also whistling one does not hear it much now but once all the lads seemed to whistle. I suppose they different interests these days.🌺🌺

I love the sound of songbirds chirping. I believe that animals can communicate with us when we take the time to have a conversation with them. My raccoons understand the word no, and they get off the porch and back into the yard when we instruct them to do so.
