What a fun thing to think about.......

.....Trees were the most fun thing of our lives growing up....

.....Climbing them, swinging from one to another by ropes, playing tree tag, picking and eating cherries and pears and my sons took it up about the time I began to give it up.  There were two dearly beloved tree houses in our family.

Understandable. When I was a kid, I climbed the fruit trees in our yard, swung from the branches, and jumped out of the trees to the ground. Somewhere along the way, I developed a fear of heights. I, too, prefer to keep my feet on the ground.

I did not mind climbing trees we had to when bird nesting the rooks built high.

When I painted the house I made sure that the ladder was firm. Although I hate heights.

You could be my son. I have a phobia of heights. It is terrible. I want to jump!. I discovered it when I was 16 and I travelled to England and back with my parents and sister. I could not watch the water flowing past the ship, especially at night. I wanted to jump and would shake all over because I knew I would die. Then anytime after that, I have tried to keep away from heights.
