Well-made documentaries are a gem, and I find this to be very interesting. My father served in the Vietnam War. Thanks for sharing. Regular smile

Truly a tough decision to make, it is not always easy when one is in command..

You just put a new wrinkle in the adage: war is hell. Glad to read the family survived and escaped.

Thank God in the end, precious family lives were more important than flying machines because I am thinking those helicopters couldn't fly home.

You Brought Back a Memory......

Fifty-five years ago our sons were 4, 6, 7 and 9.   Somewhere they got the idea that they wanted to take  piano lessons.  Of course we had no piano.  Daddy thought it was a passing fancy and not worth buying a piano for them.  Some how the word got around and at the same time a man and wife in our neighborhood had lost their only son to the Vietnam War.  He was also a really good pianist.   They wanted their son's music carried on so they brought their son's piano to our house and had it tuned after the move.   All four sons learned to play.  After all of these years one of them still does.
