When I was a kid, we had an apricot tree in our yard. My mom used to make a cobbler or crisp with them. Perhaps you could prepare some apricot jam. Since you are game for anything, the figs would be good when incorporated into bars or bread. For me, those mushrooms would be stuffed, sautéed, battered, and deep-fried, or sliced up and tossed on a pizza. 🍕

.....Pat, I totally agree with you. Of course I looked them up...a cross between apricots and plums and the other just fancy fresh off the tree figs. They wore me out taking care of them. I'll take a grilled cheese sandwich any day.

I never heard of those food items. And these days anything more complicated than a grilled cheese sandwich seems like too much trouble. Only takes a few minutes in the microwave to fix a chicken pot pie...
