The whole idea of 'the right to bear arms' has become so distorted from the original intent, and now it seems nearly impossible to change that: People don't willingly give up power, and guns to some minds are power. I think gun ownership should be like car ownership.

As the humidity climbs and the heat swelters, stay in, stay hydrated and take a nap: this is my advice to myself, and it seems to fit with the theme of your post today.  Peace.

We had new gutters put around the house a couple of years ago, and they are brilliant. No one ever needs to clean out the leaves ever again.

Vacuums can sure be complex beasts. Speaking of which, I have to empty out mine.

Good morning. I hate that! My vacuum cleaner has two filters that need to be cleaned regularly. Ours gets dusty due to the coal dust carted past our house on the train cars. I wash one filter in the sink with soap and water and air-dry it. Regardless, I prefer a bagless vacuum over the alternative. It is supposed to be hot through the weekend with no end in sight until the middle part of next week. Thank goodness for air-conditioners. Enjoy your day. Regular smile

Goldiec.....

Used to always go to the State Fair and some of the County Fairs of Missouri.   But I've given up on that sort of thing except second hand photos and news.    Lost one of my boys once at the State Fair when he was about six.   State police and everything out looking  for him.   Finally found him way out in the parking lot on top of our car.   He figured sooner or later someone would come to the car when he lost  track of us.
