Good Morning
I hope you have a wonderful and uneventful new school year. I have a friend that just retired from being a school bus driver. I know there are many responsibilities involved in transporting children to school.

I know with teaching, there are a lot of meetings and professional development days (the latter of which students love, for they get the day off). There truly is a lot that goes on behind the scenes.

I remember my bus drivers better than some of my teachers! Never considered what they did besides just drive the bus around, or what they were trained to do besides change gears and open and close the door!

No job is ever easy; but when one is dedicated, automatically , one without knowing it, starts to love the job. And love, makes everything easy. Keep the spirit going. Good luck.

I remember my school bus driver very well, a gruff old guy with a twinkle in his eye. No nonsense, but we knew he was looking out for us. We rode 10 miles each way, five days a week, on curving mountain roads, a bridge over the Cowlitz river, past farmlands. This was 75 years ago and seems like 'yesterday.' I know your little riders will be holding you in their memories for a long time, too. Peace.
