As a child my kid sis, my little bro and I were sometimes left in the car while my mother ran an errand in a store. She did park in the shade and leave the windows rolled down, and it was only for 10 minutes or so. But we didn't like it. I don't know whether or not she knew how dangerous it could be.

I think that.....
people have too much on their minds, and have things on their minds other than the welfare of their little ones and even their pets. Too many people have a mental and physical overload of things they think are important at the time.

I don't get it either. I find it hard to believe that they have forgotten about the child, and more likely that they figured nothing would go wrong or that they wouldn't get caught. It's horrible to think about.

Heartbreaking, isn't it? I made mistakes too as a young Mummy, but never anything life-threatening like that.
