So many people tend to forget what to do when the power goes out. It's becoming a lost art.

It's nice to have family so close. We have experienced more power outages in a short period of time than ever before. I was telling my wife how my father used to make us turn off the TV and the Radio whenever lightning storms appeared. They would tell scary stories about people being struck by lightening. Or other scary stories. Sometimes I think it's good to just turn off all the electronics and talk.

Re: Sherri.....
.....years ago apartment complexes stopped allowing the burning of candles along with smoking because of fire hazzards. Before that my oldest son and I used to make our own creations of candles and it was so much fun.

So long as no damage is done when the electricity is disrupted by the storm, it's a great time for catching up by candlelight; it's an even better feeling once everything comes to life again.
