Thank you for your service. My stepdad served in the Air Force in 1977. He was stationed in Saudi Arabia. My brother also served in the Air Force, but later switched to the Navy. My hubby served in the Navy and the Army. He told me about some of his worst days in boot camp, which is a nightmare for newbies. Music and singing have a huge effect on a person's well-being. The isolation from the world during boot camp makes the days seem even longer. Your singing more than likely brought relief to many in an otherwise uncertain time.

Bringing a bit of a joke to people is one reason I designed a brown crocheted beanie that looks like a poop emoji. I begin with a dollop on top. At the front of the hat I sew on a pair of eyes and a grin. Makes people laugh aloud sometimes. Recently made a smaller version & sent it to my daughter-in-law as a baby gift for her niece. I've donated quite a few of them to the community center gift shop. 💩
