So sorry to read that you youngsters are having such a tough time. I am being Facetious, because we are 80 now and are also having a rough time.

Oh, no! I'm so sorry that you are going through this. It happens more than you think. John had ankle surgery a few years ago, so I can relate to the scooter, cast, and crutches. I am accident-prone and am forever falling or injuring myself. I stepped on a rotten floor in an abandoned house that I was photographing for my job, which nearly sent me down to the cellar. It hurt like Hell, and my leg was scraped up and black & blue for a long while. I hope you two feel better ASAP.

Sorry you're having to deal with all that. Your post reminds me of that old saying "it never rains but that it pours." Seems like we need to hope for our days to be uneventful and boring, with nothing interesting (or injurious) happening. I hope you're both back to good health and function in no time.
