Re: Sherri_G,

The Dating Game was always beyond my grasping! And relationships are always a trial for one with acceptance, attachment, and abandonment issues--I finally realized how relaxing and satisfying it is to live alone. With a cat.

Re: Kabu,

Yes indeed! Seems to me, you are someone who needs to be needed as much as to be loved, maybe more. It's where you give and find your joy!

You definitely write with wisdom and experience. My experience taught me that listening to the fellas doesn't work. I tried to follow the crowd. But success was only temporary. In the end, it is best to just be the best you. You can't make someone like you.

Actually, can I admit my happiest years of all were with Wiley. We met here, where friendship is all there is. I love everyone here but I don't want to make love with everyone here. Big difference.

You make good points. The boy meets girl dating game is a tough one that can go wrong in so many directions. I married young, so I have been fortunate enough to dodge quite a bit of the things that go on in the dating world. I would not wish to be single in this day and age. The rules are not something I would ever be able to follow if I were. Online dating, superficial cosmetics, and clothing that hides this and that are just not my jam.
