Re: Goldiec

Agreed--anything over 80 is warmer than I like, but here at least we don't have the tropical humidity! We expect more mild mornings and stormy afternoons and nights this next week. I like it!

Re: Pat B,

There have almost always been mountains in my view of home--except for 5 years in Cleveland. And, well, for a dozen or so years growing up in the NY/NJ area, but at least there we had forests. I do love the Eastern Woodlands, so different from the PNW rainforest, but also quietly beautiful. But the years from 3-6 in California, Lassen was straight east and Shasta to the north. In the 30+ years in western WA there were Rainier, the Cascades and Olympics. Now, Pike's Peak--as high as Rainier, but we're halfway up here in the Springs.
I always feel a kinship with you, that you lived in Salkum just down the road from Tumwater!

Re: anib

In fact, out here in high desert country, these rainy days are welcome and refreshing! Not like the Puget Sound area where I lived over 30 years, and the rain was pretty much on from September to April.

Loved the photos!  Dramatic and gorgeous. Grew up in a village in the foothills of the Cascades in western WA. Sometimes here in Flatlandia I miss having the big shoulders of the mountains nearby. Hope your day is just right.

Good Evening

I'm so glad the rain didn't ruin your lunch.  Hopefully, you will have some beautiful weather this week.  It's going to be warming up in Cleveland, and the only day that it will be a little too warm is Wednesday.  It will be almost 90, and then it will cool off again.
