- Go to Bacon’s Attitude to Morals in his Essays
Quite interesting It appears that one should take advantage of what's going and make the best of it.

I haven't read Bacon, but I get the impression from what you write about him and his work that he was highly intellectual in his approach to life, one who intellectualizes everything as the best way to treat anything. Ethics can be approached through intellect but morality, it seems to me, has more to do with the heart than the head, and this he seems to have been ill-equipped to manage.

Francis Bacon's guides on moral conduct for men would never work for our American leader, who wouldn't know the truth if it smacked him upside the head.
