Thanks! I agree entirely about new citizens. Those born to the true values and principles don't have memory of the cost of our privileges and take it all for granted. I grew up with assumptions I am even now learning to question!

Wow, what an excellent post! You touched on what made America great. I believe everyone who cares about America would agree with your observations. Sometimes, we forget about what is essential. Incredibly, brand-new citizens appreciate our original country's values and principles more than many born here. I must, however, keep the faith that we will overcome the present direction of our country and return to sanity.

It can't be because after visiting the USA quite a few times and loving the countryside and the huge cities, of being treated like a Princess because of my Australian accent and after Crocodile Dundee made such a huge thing about going to visit my country...and the USA being fairy land to me as a child and in my tens, I am sitting here in a small City, trying to keep my head down. I can't believe what I read can be true!
