Re: Re: CCT OOPS!
That's "blue skies" not blue birds. Sorry.

Re: CCT
I remember both songs you mentioned. I believe one was sung by Patti Page, but don't recall who sang the other. A wartime song I remember: "There'll be blue birds over the white cliffs of Dover, tomorrow, just you wait and see."

Sometimes I remember the old war songs and those rather later . It seemed terribly sad to listen to 'Those dear folk and gentle people who live in my home town.' That was if one was a conscript. Later the girls on the bus singing. 'They tell us we're to young to really be in love.'. ,🌺

.....I'm afraid I will sing anything that has a great tune and rhythm. Singing is what keeps me going. LOL

I loved that song; I think it made a come-back in the late 60's or 70's

Songs are amazing that way. They evoke feelings, even when the lyrics are not entirely understood when we hear them. Live and learn.

Good Morning
Pat, sometimes I wonder about the choices I've made, but I will say they've all taught me lessons. I wonder if I was supposed to learn from those lessons? I hope you have a great weekend.

I remember that one, can hear the music... There was also a similar Gordon Lightfoot song, similar in theme, that is, a song of male freedom from commitment. I'll remember it before the day is out...
