I have heard that term many times, but not by my parents. I often find myself saying the same thing to myself. Procrastination is a, you know what. There is always tomorrow. Yet more than likely, you did accomplish something. You made it through the day.

My mom would say that same thing if she was feeling unwell. Thank you for the memory. I think you do a lot and you can give yourself permission to take it easy once jn a while.

Re: Kabu.....
.....So I laid me down to take a nap and just as soon as I relaxed Son Stephen arrived at the door and I had to get up to let him in. LOL He had brought me a vase full of red roses from his garden and said he had an hour to visit....so I was re-invigorated and even had enough umph to clean the floor around his chair after he left. He never stops to think about the shoe soles grabbing the dirt in his garden and then depositing the dirt on my floor around his chair. That's a man for you.

Lol, my mommom used to say as useless as tits on a bore hog. I love hearing those old sayings. The dirty dish rag bit is also hilarious.

Goodness me I believe you have earned some rest time. Some down time. A busy busy and productive life full of Joy and more than your share of loss. Throughout the years I have known you here you have been kind, generous, loving, full of life and fun, and steadfast in your Faith. You are our beloved Taps. Enjoy wasting a day and knowing it doesn't matter.

Resting when you're tired is not "useless" and if you're tired in your 80s, it's pretty much certain you've earned the right over the past 60 years to rest and think. I think that saying goes "you deserve a break today..."
