I wasn't expecting it either and I found trumps AI of himself as pope most disgusting but things are as they are and another gentle pope will be a good thing I believe.

I was astounded, astonished and amazed! Like you, never in my wildest thoughts did I expect the new pope to be anyone from this country. My jaw literally dropped! But then after learning about him I understood why. Very interesting and very exciting.
