I suppose storage Bins are a good idea but eventually you could put that money away in an account and buy all new everything.

There was a cop show several years (decades?) ago - don't remember which one it was now, but there was always a scene in which the chief or commander told his officers "Be careful out there." This seems like what you're doing; way to go!
