Yes at one village every year the Gypsies arrive for races. All the shops close suspicion does not disappear easily.

What a story today - a link between the 19th century and the 21st. Folks in horse-drawn traps sharing a road with gas or electric vehicles. Reminded me of times when I get nostalgic for those horse and buggy days, even though they were long before my time. And then I remember what it takes to own a horse, the grooming, the exercising, the feeding and cleaning-up after them. Much easier to drive the car through a commercial car wash every week or two and put a little gas in the tank as needed. Thank you for your posts, they are so interesting to this oldster.
