I could see that being a problem. My three daughters refer to it as social anxiety. My hubby and two oldest daughters suffer from it, so they are never assertive. I am the total opposite. At least you managed to finally complete the lessons and get your license. That in itself is something.

doesn't sound like a crusty older man should be teaching anything to youngsters. I just used to get confused by the teachers manner and made mistakes on things I actually knew.
